What gives the Madrasah Aishah the right to train Islamic scholars?

There are two different ways to become an Islamic scholar: University studies and studying at a traditional madrasah. In the traditional madrasah, as can be found in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, England, South Africa and many other countries, Islamic scholars receive a so-called Shahâdatul-Alimiyyah and Ijâzatul-Alimiyyah from their teacher at the end of their scholarly studies. This degree authorises them to train other scholars with a chain of transmission that can be traced back to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallâhu 'alayhi was-sallam).

Muftiyah Mirah Malaika, the director of the Madrasah Aishah, has such a degree and is therefore authorised to train scholars according to the traditional Madrasah system.

What standards does the study programme at the Madrasah Aishah meet?

The curriculum at Madrasah Aishah corresponds to the requirements of the curriculum of Al-Azhar University, the Islamic University Madinah, and the traditional Madrasah (e.g. Dars e Nizami).

How much does the course cost?

The course fee is based on the student's country of residence, number of lessons and the intensity of personal support. This results in the following tuition fees:
