What is the Diploma in Islamic Studies?

The diploma in Usool ad-Deen imparts knowledge of the Arabic language, Quranic sciences, Hadith sciences, Islamic jurisprudence, Akhlaq (good behaviour and character) and much more at a basic level.

How long does the programme take and
what conditions do I have to fulfil?

The entire degree programme lasts 2 years.

Around 10-12 hours per week are required for this course.

If you don't have that much time, you can extend your studies and reduce the number of hours. Please bring this up during your personal interview with Muftiyah Mirah, which you will have before you are accepted to study in shaa Allaah.

The requirements you should meet are as follows:

  • You should be at least 14 years old (under certain circumstances, students as young as 12 may be admitted), with no upper age limit.

  • You should be female.

  • You should practice Islam.

  • You should be motivated, punctual, and reliable.

  • You should be in good mental health.

  • You should already be able to read and write Arabic. If not, you can learn Arabic reading and writing here.

  • Before admission, there may be a personal meeting with Muftiyah Mirah.

  • You should have a functional, internet-enabled device and a stable internet connection.

  • History of Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence)

  • Fiqh of Worship, Menstruation, Marriage/Divorce, Trade, and Inheritance

  • Usool al-Hadith

  • Usool al-Fiqh

  • Usool at-Tafsir

What do you learn in this program?

Year 1 and 2

The focus in the first two years is on learning the Arabic language. Other basic topics are also taught, such as the biography of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Quran recitation and basic fiqh (jurisprudence).

What standards does the study programme at the Madrasah Aishah meet?

The curriculum at Madrasah Aishah corresponds to the requirements of the curriculum of Al-Azhar University, the Islamic University Madinah, and the traditional Madrasah (e.g. Dars e Nizami).

How much does the course cost?

The tuition fee is based on the number of lessons, the intensity of personal support during the programme as well as the country of residence. This results in the following tuition fees:
