What is Islamic Parenting Coaching?
In Islamic educational counselling, parents are supported in raising their children to be righteous Muslims. Educational counsellors analyse parents' parenting styles and methods and then work with parents to develop solutions. In this course, there is a strong focus on raising children in the West, conflict resolution and the teaching of Islam. The course consists of a theoretical part (6 months) and a practical part (6 months) and lasts a total of 1 year.
How long does the course last and
how much effort is required?
The entire course takes about 15 months with a time commitment of 7 hours a week.
In addition to 5 hours/week, which you can organise yourself, there is one hour/week of Tarbiyyah/Tazkiyyah, where attendance is compulsory, and one hour/week of practice-oriented live lessons.
If you don't have that much time, you can extend your studies and reduce the number of hours.
The conditions you should meet are:

You should fulfill at least one of the following four conditions:

Have a child (biological child, adopted child, foster child, stepchild), or
-
Have a pedagogical education, or
-
Have work experience in the educational field, or
-
Have other experience working with children that qualifies you to work as a parenting advisor.

You should be motivated, punctual, and reliable.

You should be in good mental health.

You should have a functioning, internet-capable device and a stable internet connection.
What do you learn on the course?
Theory 1: Fundamentals of Parenting
The focus in the first course is on 'the basics of child rearing to create a foundation for the course.

Practice 3: Islamic Parenting in practice - Adolescence/Puberty
